The Engineering Education Showcase, which has been the definitive highlight of EETI programming in past semesters, had its sixth installment last week. During the showcase, a group of CENGR faculty and educational innovators shared some of their ideas and initiatives that promote high-quality teaching, learning, and student success. The focus of this showcase was strategies for engaging students in hybrid and online learning. Dr. Banu discussed her use of Google Docs and TopHat as flexible tools for the online side of hybrid learning; Dr. Yao discussed strategies he has used to maintain student engagement in hybrid classrooms, and Dr. Li discussed his strategy transitioning to online labs and examinations as a graduate student instructor of record via the Dean’s Engineering Education Fellowship last Spring. This is a great opportunity to hear about exciting developments in the College, get inspired to try new things, and celebrate our shared passion for student learning and development.
