An after-action review of Dr. Kristina Edstrom’s Teaching Tricks

In this interactive session, we will revisit several of Dr. Kristina Edstrom’s Teaching Tricks “How to improve student learning without spending more time teaching.” Since Dr. Edstrom’s visit in the spring, multiple faculty have experimented with these approaches. In this forum, we will review these tricks, share experiences, and invite participants to consider how the techniques might be adapted to other classes. In addition, we will share insights on how to make the first day of class count, inspired by “Teaching Strategies for the College Classroom” by Maryellen Weimer.
