Alison Banka, Ph.D
Lecturer
Dr. Alison Banka joined the faculty of the School of Chemical, Materials, and Biomedical Engineering as a lecturer in 2022. She received her PhD in chemical engineering in 2022 from the University of Michigan (where she also received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees). Dr. Banka teaches classes for biochemical and biomedical engineering students, including laboratory courses. Some of her current educational interests include incorporation of professional skills into engineering courses and exploring the impact of affirmative action bans on the demographics of engineering students. Dr. Banka is the faculty advisor for the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) student group at UGA.
