Dean's Engineering Education Fellow Alumnus
Jasmine Badiee was a Dean’s Engineering Education Fellow and is a doctoral student in engineering with an energy systems emphasis. Her research interests include macro-level energy systems and demand, integrating sustainability, and human-centered design.
As a 2021-2022 fellow, she taught an introduction to programming with MATLAB course where she had the freedom to create assignments, assessments, projects, and lectures. In her research appointment, she worked with Dr. Ben Fahrman on analyzing student resilience in relation to standards-based grading methods. As a fellow, she discovered an interest in qualitative analysis methods and was able to develop skills such as coding and analyzing interviews.
