John Brocato is a Technical Communication Lecturer in the School of Chemical, Materials, and Biomedical Engineering at the University of Georgia and also serves as the school’s Undergraduate Coordinator. He teaches the CMB version of Introduction to Engineering along with several communication-intensive courses to both undergraduate and graduate engineering students, and he works closely with faculty to support their engineering-communication efforts. An ASEE Fellow, John has published on engineering-communication pedagogy for nearly 20 years and has held multiple ASEE leadership roles at the national and section levels, including President of the Southeastern Section and the national Zone II Chair. He currently serves as the Southeastern Section Proceedings Editor, and he is UGA-CENGR’s ASEE Campus Representative, a service for which he has previously won numerous ASEE awards.
