Junyuan Hu

Ph.D. Student, Engineering Education

Junyuan Hu is a Ph.D. student in Engineering Education at the University of Georgia. She holds a B.S. in Statistics with a minor in Engineering Studies from Carnegie Mellon University and an M.S. in Systems Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania.

Junyuan’s academic and professional experiences span engineering, data analysis, and student-facing educational roles across diverse institutional and cultural contexts. She has served as a teaching assistant at Penn Engineering, supporting graduate-level Systems Engineering courses, and has participated in interdisciplinary research and technical projects across academic and industry settings. In addition, her involvement in programs supporting international and underrepresented engineering students has shaped her interest in how students navigate technical learning environments and educational systems that differ in structure, expectations, and support.

As a doctoral student, Junyuan is in the early stages of exploring research directions within engineering education.
