Chima Umeaku
PhD Student, Engineering Education
Chima Umeaku is a Nigerian scholar and PhD student in Engineering Education at the University of Georgia.
He earned his bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Computer Engineering from Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), where he later worked as a technologist in the Management, Information and Communication Technology Unit (MICTU). He also holds a Master’s degree in Advanced Computer Science from Northumbria University.
His research explores pedagogical approaches and alternative learning pathways in engineering education, focusing on how instructional design and sociotechnical environments shape students’ access, participation, and learning across formal and informal contexts.
Outside academia, Chima enjoys photography, soccer, and engaging in conversations about politics and society.
