EETI Welcomes Drs. Rachel Figard & James Huff!

We are thrilled to announce that Dr. Rachel Figard and Dr. James Huff have joined the University of Georgia as the newest members of EETI’s diverse and talented faculty. Their addition to our team marks a significant step forward in our ongoing mission to foster innovation and excellence in the field of engineering education.

Dr. Rachel Figard is an accomplished scholar and educator with significant experience in engineering pedagogy and curriculum development. Her research interests lie in the intersection of engineering education and social equity, aiming to make engineering education more accessible and inclusive. We are confident that her expertise will greatly enrich our educational programs and inspire our students to approach engineering with a broader perspective.

Dr. James Huff is renowned for his work in the subjects of identity and emotions within professional settings. His research has significantly contributed to our understanding of how engineering students perceive their roles and responsibilities in society. As a passionate educator, Dr. Huff is dedicated to preparing our students to become not just exceptional engineers, but also responsible and ethical members of the global engineering community.
